Lawn Aerating

Each year, we rent aerators and aerate lawns in St. Jacobs. Lawn aeration helps prevent soil compaction and contributes to good lawn health. We are looking for a large number of volunteers that are willing to help us raise money to support our community activities. We aerate for approximately 2 hours during the weekday evenings and Saturday morning we complete whatever lawns reamin. If you would like to help us, please sign up here: Volunteer Sign Up

Grand River Teddy Bear Drive

We raise money all year long to purchase Teddy Bears for Grand River Hospital. If you would like to donate to this cause - we encourage you to do so at http://www.optimistclubofstjacobs.com/donate

If you have a passion for making teddy bears - we will take those too! Grand River Hospital asks that homemade teddy bears adhere to the following guidelines:

• Bears must not have dangling strings or objects that could cause children to choke.
• Bears must have eyes so as to not scare children
